Welcome to Week 2 of the dissection of Konami's two-page verb-heavy ad:
Last week we covered
Track 'n Attack, now we'll move to the next two games and find some verbs that fit:
Top Gun, Castlevania
or, Week 2: Goose vs. Bat?
Top Gun
Roll
While PLANES can roll, you can't actually do a barrel roll in this game. Instead I'm "banking" (that's aviator jargon for "turn right").
Loop
Ok, you can't loop either, so I just kind of pointed the plane "downwards".
Shoot
Pew-pew-pew! Wait, why are their engines green?
Swerve
Yup, "banking" again.
Castlevania
Whip
Simon Belmont's magical whip. String beats fire!
Duck
Eeew, fishman projectile vomit!
Hurl
As in, "these Medusa heads make me want to hurl."
Leap
Boingy boingy boingy!
Two down, two to go!
Tune in next week for...uh, "Double Sting"? I guess that's better than "Dribbling Stinger"
